It all started when Renae Owens was on the train to work. It was packed with people due to morning rush hours.
Suddenly, Renae felt a hand brush her behind. She ignored it at first, thinking it was just an accident, but she felt the pressure against her increase as time went on.
“Excuse me, STOP!” – Renae
She quickly turned around to face the offender. Her swiveling bumped the man behind her into the ground. The man became infuriated and started hurling insults at her for hurting him.
Renae was in disbelief. She told him that he had touched her inappropriately.
The man scoffed at her:
“Who would want to touch someone like YOU?”
“And even if I did, you should take it as a compliment.”
Murmurs of agreement by other commuters echoed around her. Renae felt her face flush with embarrassment.
“But it’s true! You groped me!” – Renae
But no one believed her; no one came to defend her. Instead, everyone started to take videos and pictures, recording the commotion between her and the man.
